Gujarat government announces Sardar Patel Good Governance CM Fellowship Programme
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government has announced the Sardar Patel Good Governance CM Fellowship Programme for youths. The youths will be selected on merit in this program for one one-year fellowship for which they shall get Rs. 1 lakh per month. Below 35 years graduates with 60 percent or more results will be given the opportunity.
Who can apply?
This one-year fellowship is intended to provide an opportunity to the promising youth of the state to actively contribute to the service of the state and society. Sardar Patel Good Governance CM. Candidates who have graduated with 60% or above and below 35 years of age will be given opportunity in the Fellowship Programme.

Fellow youths will get mentoring from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. The fellows will be given two weeks of training and two weeks of field training. On completion of the fellowship, the fellows will get a joint certificate from IIMA and the Gujarat government.
What will be covered under the Fellows Program?
Apart from this, sectors like promoting organic farming in the state, extensive and maximum utilization of Narmada water for irrigation purposes, promoting heritage, wild life, beach tourism and aspects of urban and industrial pollution control and recycling of solid and liquid waste in cities will also be covered under the fellowship programme. .
Sardar Patel Good Governance CM. The world renowned management institute IIM-Ahmedabad will join as an academic partner in the Fellowship Programme. IIM-Ahmedabad will play an important role in the processes and programs involved in the selection and training of Fellows. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad will also provide services for evaluation of individual applications along with applications for fellowship, interview for final selection and subsequent mentoring for training of fellows. Not only this, the experts of IIM, Ahmedabad will also be involved in the evaluation of the performance done by the fellow during the tenure of the fellow and after the completion of the tenure, the fellow will be given a joint certificate by the Government of Gujarat and IIM, Ahmedabad.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has introduced new and effective approaches in state government policy formulation, service matters, public welfare schemes etc. initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his Chief Ministership. Carrying forward the fellowship program under his guidance, now ‘Sardar Patel Good Governance CM. A direction has been taken to start a ‘Fellowship Programme’.
The new tradition started by the Prime Minister of the collaboration of experts’ experience and knowledge in the implementation of important development and public welfare schemes of the nation in Gujarat is this ‘CM’. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has decided to adopt in fellowship also.
Monthly Rs. 1 lakh remuneration will also be given by the government
The contribution of Yuva Shakti for good governance and pro-active pro-people governance of the state government, administration system, public service and public welfare programmes, solving public issues will be met through this fellowship. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced this ‘Sardar Patel Good Governance CM. The applications received from the youth for the Fellowship Program will be selected on the basis of merit. The duration of this fellowship has been kept for one year and during this time the fellows will be given a monthly allowance of Rs. 1 lakh remuneration will also be given by the government.
The knowledge wealth of these fellows will be utilized for innovation, effectiveness and quality improvement in the successful implementation of various public welfare projects of the state government. In such important projects mainly P.M. The Nutrition Scheme, Aspirational Districts and Blocks covers things like preventing wastage of food-nutritional items provided under the scheme, improving enrollment in secondary and higher secondary schools and inculcating interest in deeper subjects like science and mathematics.
